>>217775515Exactly. If a modern adaptation came out it would be packed with ironic absurdity and the characters making epic marvel quips to defuse any tension or emotion. But the Wachowski’s decided to aim right at the heart which made for a timeless piece of art. It helps that the art style is deliberately stylized to filter retards and keep them from fanboying it into dust.
