I think this was one of the best movies I've ever seen

Too bad the ending is retarded.

The ending was fantastic. Really brought the movie from a 9 to a 10 to me. Life is short, ya know, really enhances poignance of everyday moments when you realize you're just gonna die one day

then watch more movies, lil zoom zoom

Have you even seen the movie I'm posting about? You sound like an ass replying like that.

If you really want to contribute than recommend something but I don't know why you people act like everything has to be a fight on this board.

Usually it isn't but when the topic is arthouse/foreign movies people get weirdly combative
>>

People fight over cartoons and anime phone games on this website, people fight over the most popular shows and games of all time on this website, people fight over anything...

I really liked this movie, but I'm open to suggestions for similar things, I don't really mind the fighting if it results in decent recommendations I guess

/film/ used to be insufferable for years, now it's more mellowed down

I like it too anon. One of Kitano's best. Easily his most underrated in my opinion. Everyone likes to talk up Hana-bi and Sonatine, and I do think they are overall better films, but this is right behind them.
Also check out Dolls (2002). It's a bit melodramatic but still a worthwhile watch.

I think you are brown.

Kitano was on an insane run in the 90s

You're mid brow.

Dolls is not melodramatic. A Scene At The Sea is though.
