Are Hong Sang-soo films worth watching?

I've heard that they're literally people having dinner and drinking for 90 minutes with improvised dialogue.

they're comfy, but I completely understand them not being someone's thing. they are all basically exactly what you described, but if you're in the mood for that sort of thing they'll hit the spot. granted I've only seen four of his films so far, so maybe some of them are a bit different. Right Now, Wrong Then and Hill of Freedom are my favorites so far
