There was one in an anthology true crime series I saw that made me have doubts on all true crime docs. Some seem like they were made to cover up things and distract viewers. It also brings me a theory that I don’t think has ever been proven wrong. If a child kills a parent it means 10/10 times that the child was abused by the parent sexually. The episode I watched was this dude whose wife was in politics and he spent time with their youngest daughter the most after they split up. The videos of him with his daughter are all extremely sus as she’s older and he still kisses her on the mouth. The documentary character assassinates the daughter after she and her spic bf kill him and go on the run. It seems painfully obvious that he was molesting her and she snapped. His mom was in the doc and glazing how good of a man he was and I just don’t buy it. The wife cheated on him and was a pos politician in like Arizona or some shit but it seems clear that a lot of true crime docs exist to cover up shit rather than to expose anything. Another one that comes to mind is the perfect neighbor which goes so far out of its way to paint the wild sheboon as a friendly nice lady who cared for her kids. The only time they use a voice over is to talk about how she would take off work at McDonald’s to be with her kids kek. IMDb reviews were a battleground of defense and attacks. Another one that seemed odd was the American nightmare where I suppose they really did kidnap that girl but it just doesn’t seem accurate to me. Seems like that blonde bitch is lying about something. Also gabby petito and brian Landry being close to meaning small talk and brain wash made me think of how easy it would be to just make up some fake true crime doc. We’ve been conditioned with reenactments for decades.
