Why is sketch comedy the best comedy?
>>
>>217772381
Because they're usually just short, silly, actual jokes, and if you don't like the current sketch then there'll be a new one along in a couple of minutes.

Also, if you like Mitchell & Webb, you should check out John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme, John Finnemore co-wrote basically every David Mitchell show except Peep Show

Name one iconic sketch besides the one with the Nazis

Comedy falls apart the longer you drag it out. It's best in short punchy bits, which sketch comedy is all about. Even big comedy films are just a series of sketches with a plot that doesn't really matter tying them together.

Sitcoms are better because you don't have to do a fresh set-up every time, you can just fit the jokes into the setting and achieve a greater laugh density

I really love Limmy's Show, I rewatch it all the time. Shame he got stuck in the Twitch flytrap so many micro celebrities have been falling in.
I also like Kids in the Hall though that one is very hit or miss.
That Mitchell and Webb Look can also be pretty hit or miss. I never feel that way about Limmy's Show. Nearly every skit is perfect comedy gold.

Saw a couple of skits from the new show, the magic is kind of lost but I am in love with Stevie Martin.

Her videos during Covid used to pop on algorithm and she was funny, I'm glad she's getting recognition and working.

Limmy's Show is great, he comes across as a bit of a cunt though.

I'm totally unaware of this show, let me guess they cut it after 1-2 seasons? Was it good?

Brits are physically incapable or producing a show with more than 20 episodes so that's a given

I think it's better that way honestly, better have 2-3 good seasons than 8 season of which half of it sucks.
>>217775321
I'm not sure, I only know her from her Youtube Channel which has some funny skits and from The Mitchel and Webb new series, she has done some panel shows and she's always lovely and charming. I think she did Taskmaster also but I haven't watched that in years cause of the bullshit casting.
>>
>>217775309
Peep Show had over 50 episodes
Only Fools and Horses over 60

Trying my luck here. Identify this sketch comedy for me.
I saw it on youtube.
English sketch comedy, some parts might be wrong cause I can't remember it well.
>Guy A, an easily offended guy, is in a restaurant. Guy B is sitting in another table next to guy A.
>Guy A is offended because he thinks guy B is poking fun at him even though guy B is not talking to him, guy B is talking about something unrelated.
>Guy A said something like "you think it's funny?" and cut off his own thumb and ate it, saying "I am not afraid of you"
>Guy B was shocked by guy A and left the restaurant.
>The scene transitioned to two women that was sitting near guy A. They are talking in a foreign language.
>Guy A replied to them in the women's native language, saying something like "are you talking about me? That is very rude"
Ring any bells?
