Especially when it comes to NV the game was extremely thick and layered and actually used its factions and setting to ask interesting questions that could be reflected at modern day burgerville. I don't mind sequels doing new things at all; NCR in NV is great, because the best hope for the wasteland has corrupted into a shitty imperialist state, it's not really the same as it was in say Fallout 1 at all. Now, the TV series ruined the lore because they sweep all this under the rug to do some stupid fucking shit instead, and it ends up building nothing for the franchise. There's no net positives here. For example, the female MCs way of chalking up basically entirety of the game franchise to NCR being "mildly problematic" is an extremely Reddit analysis, and betrays the staff had no interest in anything the games were building. It's really simple as that.
