>True detective season 2What went wrong?
Casper
Guess you didn't watch the later seasons
>>217778347they named the fat kid "chad"
>>217778347If True Detective just stopped after the first season it would have been remembered as the greatest piece of film to ever grace the screen
>>217778402True chads are fat in their youth and through great effort craft their bodies into ones marred by struggle. Caspere knew this.
>>217778347I remember that I watched Season 2 but I literally can't remember anything from it.
>>217778347S2 is still better than vast majority of tv series released in the past 2 decades. S1 obviously is the best. S3 also is good.
>>217778347Didnt watch this or any other season, but I will never buy vince vaughn in a serious role
>>217778443ignoring the last 15 minutes, maybeS2 had a weak going but ended up decentS3 was good through and through and had a fantastic, bittersweet endingwe don't talk about S4, it's funny how quickly the discussion about it has dissipated the moment season finale dropped, it wasn't even funny to shitpost about
>>217778347season 1 ended badly i dont know why anyone would watch season 2
>>217778347I remember most of the scenes were in some dark rooms or at night, it looked cheap >>217778494There was too much talking that lead to nothing and family drama (muh divorce, muh I'm not a fag) >>217778672Also this
>>217778347It was made. They should never make any more seasons of this show, but the sheer momentum of the first one, along with pure greed, caused creation of "anthology series" of a one-off mini-series project.People shit on Flanagan for his writing, but he's probably the only person in the industry who can actually make a one-off series and then simply move on to a next idea
>>217778347The only thing I actually remember is the cool country music
>>217778998>we don't talk about S4, it's funny how quickly the discussion about it has dissipatedFunny, because the exact same applies to S3.You are the first person I saw mentioning it at all in years.
Casper knew too much. It's all trivial
>>217778347Nothing, it's peak.
>season 4I legit never heard of it before
>>217778347it needed more ironing
I'm just about finished watching it for the first time. I got one episode left and I think it's great. It's carried by the characters but the characters are every bit as compelling to me as Marty and Rust. I also appreciate that it creates an atmosphere of paranoia and fear that I think the original season lacked. There are touches of surrealism that remind me just a little bit of Twin Peaks: The Return as well. I'm also a sucker for "mobster formerly on top of the world has to claw his way back to the top after losing touch" stories, so Frank really appeals to me.
