Was Bethesda involved in the production of this show? Season 2 really feels like the producers hated all the lore that Fallout 1, 2 and NV established but uses it anyway for it's setting because Fallout 3, 4 and 76 haven't produced a single faction or character that is even half as interesting as the legion, house, ncr, caesar or graham.

I just don't like Fallout 4 because it doesn't feel like a fucking game. Theres no progression (skills perks and special being smooshed into single tree) at all and everything feels like it might lead to something potentially interesting.
The radiant quests which are virtually worthless, the whole settlement system- which should have been just one town or inside rooms at other towns (i think its ill advised, considering that the rest of the game locations now consist of these "building blocks" making everything extremely same, I digress) feels if you keep paying into it you'll have a payoff. Same with the Power Armor and weapon mods. Unlike in FNV, weapon mods are created through scrap instead of found or purchased. This means that character progression is tied into how much crap you pick up, rather than adventuring, making choices, meeting cool or unique npcs. Now its the sims build mode but garbitch and trash collecting. I honestly truly wish I could enjoy terrible media the same way as they do. I've played hundreds of hours of Fallout 4 and I honestly wish I could go back in time and tell myself that I don't have to play it and that it really IS as terrible as you thought the day you saw the trailer and Nate talked.

Actually its worse, the ghoul walked from LA all the way to the mojave frontier and never saw NCR along the way but here's a provisioned and impeccable NCR battalion fighting in a border region of the NCR because the frontlines haven't changed for 15 years even though NCR is in such a bad shape they withdrew from their core territories like the Hub/Junktown and Boneyard, which they aren't interested in recapturing. The reason the frontlines haven't changed is because Legion are now held back by the combined might of THE GREAT KHANS who are back with a vengeance and it gets better the west coast chapters are now capable of building prydwen fleets when in FO3 it took the player character+the most powerful BoS chapter to build one after scrapping an entire enclave operation. Quintus's chapter also pushed the NCR out of Boneyard with an expeditionary force, and now they are producing A LIBERTY PRIME completely without the help of the militray industrial complext that originally built it for the US army.

are you talking about the enclave super base hidden under lucky 38? yes, because its a dumb retcon that achieves nothing besides making sure my courier's actions are worthless, with a huge contrivance involving a plot of chipping an enclave colony from the quarry junction and transporting it to the strip, just to ensure that the protagonists dont get up to lucky 38's observation floor too early, before the show has had enough time to jingle keys in your face and progress the D-plots nobody cares about.

Ghoul walked from LA to NV and reported seeing no NCR around, yet here we have a fully provisioned, mint condition NCR battalion, fighting in a region that was part of a campaign envisioned by Kimball, who as we know from the show, is long dead. And instead of sending this battalion to recapture for example LA, they send it to a region which has lost its economic engine (the strip's casinos, and possibly even the dam), because they just happened to need them THERE, because that's where the protagonists were at the time. You can perfectly, in all of the Fallout games, cross from one extreme of the map in a straight line to another and never find any of the major factions, because the major factions usually operate in one or two settlements (in each game) only and just send parties outside. Lucy and Ghoul just walked in a straight line across no man's land and right into New Vegas, from which the NCR had recently been pushed out. And they did still find one of said parties.

Ah yes, Freeside. The location which had its own culture groups and demographics, multiple factions and power dynamics at play. What did the show make of this? A cheap spectacle funny action scene of the King being executed to 50s rockabilly music, and a reminded that ghouls in FOTV's setting are impervious to physical damage. And a scene which seemed to have unfinished CGI, considering the greenscreen background for the ghoul's impalement clearly has a busy street full of "residents" but none actually interact or even notice the ghoul being impaled right next to them. They still left this scene in because that's how little Freeside matters to them. On top of being robotic, they have no survival instinct for first of all living next to a deathclaw nest, and secondly "taking bets" about whether or not they are going to survive instead of running away or trying to help Maximus, because the writers know that they will be saved by the NCR battalion which shouldn't be there, which is another issue, outlined here >>217790531 and >>217791265 here
