Season 5 definitely sucked and the finale was mostly meh. But I’d be lying if i said i didn’t get choked up at the end when they’re all putting the books away and Mike looks down in the basement, seemingly realizing that they will likely never play DnD again. Coming of age movies hit hard sometimes, even when you get old.

The season was mostly trash but that doesn't mean they didn't get some things right. The final DnD game between the characters I thought was a pretty nice note to end the series on. It just would have worked a hell of a lot better if everything that lead up to it wasn't so stupid. But just in a vacuum it was a beautiful scene.
