I'm sick of modern shit
>>217787167I watched a movie starring a super young Stephen Dorff with Emilio Estavez and Cuba Gooding Jr. + a balding Jeremy Piven called Judgement Night a couple days ago from the 90's where Dennis Leary kills a guy and they witness it and then have to run from funnyman Dennis Leary in the projects. That was awful. I mean it was fine, but it's pretty bad.
Watched Armour of God the other day after binging the first few Police Story movies. It was kinda lackluster. Guess I was hoping for more action sequences like the opening. Speaking of the opening, is there a reason Jackie has a different, shorter haircut there than the rest of the film?
Sometimes I recall an extremely vague image, to the point of it being more an idea than image, of a fighting kangaroo-like creature in an elf-like tree place. 20+ years later I managed to get AI to help me find it today and confirm it wasn't a fever dream.
>>217787520You sure it wasn't Tank Girl
>>217787520Doug Walker made a Nostalgia Critic episode about this one. This was way back when he was still funny.
>>217787597100% sure it was this retarded kids movie. Tank Girl is pretty easy to find, I've never heard of this movie before or since I saw it 20+ years ago.
Been watching some 80s and 90s shlock with friends, we watched Cobra, Get Carter, and Assassins. Antonio was a lot of fun in Assassins, Stallone's opening narration in Cobra is hilarious https://youtu.be/hlReTBcHh5w?si=FoZMIW60kerQbh-G&t=24>inameeericuh...
>>217787520Me and some friends saw this in the theater the day it came out as joke in high school. Believe it or not the theater was packed with kids.
>>217787167kino
>>217787167been watching a lot of late 80s/90s films lately. currently on a BILLIE BOB thornton binge.>a simple plan. thornton plays simpleton. pure 90s kino. dark (although not as dark as the book>one false move. thornton plays psychotic murderer. also fairly dark themes.kind of surprising how many 90s movies are bleak given how it was generally an optimistic time.
>>217787167I put this off for a long time because I find old war films very drawn out and hammy in terms of acting. It's pure kino. Kind of drags at the start but when it picks up you won't want to skip anything.
This was a delight. Manages to be not too serious and dark (even though all japanese people want to do is slit their belly), great performance by Sonny Chiba. It follows Ieyasu Tokugawa from middle age to shogun.https://tubitv.com/movies/100032826/rise-of-the-shogun
