They could have used any kind of condition as a motivator for the father to make a point about the american health system but they chose one than noone has any control over.

for me it's the tabletop role-playing game Fiasco (original edition, FUCK the new version with cards instead of dice).

basically a storytelling game where you all make up a Coen brothers film in two acts. all the print-and-play scenarios include recommendations for kinos in a similar style.
