I feel like there are far too few that are worth watching to even bother with it as a "genre".

Season one is fine but the game still manages to have better performances.But broadly speaking, they just dont ever seem to have the best guys writing this stuff, so it never ends up as good as it could be. They manage to do comic adaptations generally well so its possible. But so far nothing incredible.

Seems like people kinda liked the Mario and Sonic movies. Also Advent Children I guess at least at the time? If I want a movie that's also a video game I'll just plays MGS or something.
