Holy fucking shit is writing really doomed? As older writers retire, who grew up reading books, are we really going to have whacky millenial/gen z writers who spent their whole lives with brainrot?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ix2LuqZx9qE

I'm not going to pretend that old pixar was shakesphere, but compare this trailer to their older works. Older pixar movies had subtlety and deep character moments. This fucking abomination of a trailer is 2 minutes of whacky animals screaming into the camera, and licensed brain rot music playing, and pop culture references, and minions gags, and overexaggerated facial expressions.

What are we going to do?
>>

>whacky millenial writers
Millennials are in their 40s and long retired out of show biz, zoomie
You have only your own generation to blame.
This is the exact sort of shit someone raised with a smartphone in their hand could produce, the right dopamine kicks

Also:
You are offering free advertising and online positioning to something you wish to trash. Are you online from yesterday, or just terminally zoom zoom?
>>
>>217789725
I personally don't give a shit if hoppers does well or not financially. Possibly convincing the 5 people to see this thread to maybe think about buying a ticket is worth it for me to vent about how pixar is officially illumination now.
>>
also notice how the main girl and the three scientists are all multicultureal females.
>>
>>217789753
>I have no idea how online positioning works, despite being born into the world with internet and modern social media
Zoomers, as always, should be gassed.
Your entire generation should be just skipped. Can we just fast-track to gen alpha? Anything will be better than the Z's stupidity and incompetence
>>
>>217789763
>America is no longer a white country
And your contribution to that is bitching about race mixing in kids cartoon, rather than making up white kids, like a good goym
>>
>>217789694
Out of all of the former CN showrunners they could've picked, they could've stolen Thurop van Orman from Sony, they could've taken Carl Greenblatt to the big screen, Pendleton Ward, JG Quintel, Craig McCracken, Maxwell Atoms, even Joe Murray. Out of all of them, they picked the We Bare Bears guy.
>>
>>217789753
Pixar has been dead for a long time
>>
>>217789836
Even though elio was shit, it wasn't illumination tier brain rot.

Although turning red came before that and that movie was certainly cal arts gen z shit.

WWB was great, fail to see your problem here.
>>
>Finding Nemo
>Ratatouille
>The Incredibles
>Toy Story
>Monsters Inc
I honestly think these are the only truly great Pixar movies.

All of those are white guys, they will never work in show business again

Like half the movies you’re trying to fit into your format don’t fit. Also it’s possible for ideas to just get stale. Doesn’t mean what came before is bad.
>>
>>217789936
Toy Story 2, 3, and Wall E deserve to be on the list imo. Up is debatable. I like it a lot but the first half is much stronger than the second half and most people don't seem to even remember much about it outside the first 15 minutes.

You see, people didn't even like 3D. They didn't even like John Lasseter. They just liked Steve Jobs, and once he died there was no point to keep going with this shit.

Toy Story 3 was boring unfunny crap. I'm half-tempted to say Toy Story 4 was better.

oh no

Baby Boomers thought that the lion king and aladdin were brainrot slop, and we should be watching classics like the fucking wizard of oz and bambi

Animation evolved. And it's a kids movie. Of course they want to make it funny

They are, but Aladdin gets a pass because Robin Williams did boomer-friendly references.
>>
>>217789921
Literally the cartoon that started CN's downfall. Seriously try to think of any relevant show they made post-2014.
>>
>>217790135
Boomers were right. That period is called "The Golden Age of Hollywood" for a reason.
>>
>>217789908
appallingly retarded image anon

>Literally the cartoon that started CN's downfall
CN is in shambles since early 00s, no idea what the fuck are you even talking about
>>
>>217790395
>Adventure Time
>Regular Show
>Scooby Doo Mystery Inc.
>The Amazing World Of Gumball
>Sym-Bionic Titan
>Steven Universe (first 3 seasons)
>Generator Rex
>Uncle Grandpa
>Clarence
>Over The Garden Wall
>The Looney Tunes Show
>Young Justice
As a whole decade sure, 00s wins, but 2010-2014 was and always will be CN's best period.

This is what, the 4th time in the last decade? What happened to Pixar? They used to be so creative.
