>expected another liberal pandering white-men-are-le-bad movie>it's actually Rian's best movie>"will you pray for me, father?"admit it, that line caught you off gaurd
>>217792133It actually is a white men bad movie. It's also a Christianity bad movie.
>>217792133The first one was so bad i refuse to watch the others
I really liked it, it's a great film, but also I think we're so tired of liberal pandering movies that something like this, while not really being "pro" white men or christianity, feels refreshing. Reminded me of how midnight mass made me feel.
>>217792133you're on fucking glue if you think i'm subjecting myself to a rian johnson movie
>>217792133It's pretty good, but Brick's still his best.
Rian has subverted my expectations so much that I wont watch any of his slop. Which is sad because I saw and loved Brick when it came out. Original Rianfanfag
people who say "admit it" need to be hanged, drawn and quartered
>>217792133>expected another liberal pandering white-men-are-le-bad movie>get exactly that
>>217792579>i've been starved and beaten for so long that a little sunlight and a slice of bread lift my spirits
It felt like a first draft of a script. The clues and twists weren't particularly clever, the references to contemporary politics were shoehorned and awkward, and there were a couple setups that never paid off. Like at the end of the movie when the young priest opens the church back up, the first visitor should have been Louise. Would've put a nice bow on that arc. We didn't really get many good Benoit moments like in the previous movies. The first half of the movie dragged and the second half was rushed.
>>217792133>>expected another liberal pandering white-men-are-le-bad movieSo you didn't watch the movie
>>217792412>It's also a Christianity bad movie.>shows you that christianity good but certain people make it bad
