Isn't this scene from Kylo's POV that was twisted by the dark side? I thought they later showed how the real thing and it was just Luke coming to check on him and Kylo jumps the gun because of the vision.

>>217803941Just watched the scene again, the dark side power emanating off Kylo scared Luke into turning on his lightsaber on instinct and then he pretty much immediately regrets it but it was too late since Kylo had perceived the situation in his own way. Star Wars is such a cursed fucking franchise, the prequels sucking at least has the excuse of George building it from the ground up, getting it wrong on a script level but then the expanded media really helped with that, the sequels have no excuse since the expanded media had already done the work, they could've easily used those to make something safe but still good for the fans and then they just try to do the prequels again but fail because they're not even a fifth of the creative force George Lucas is.
