Adulthood is realizing Jack was right. You go to any fucking restaurant in the world and you can make up an order based on bits and pieces of other items on the menu. This girl in her 50s decides to make a big deal out of things instead of just telling the cooks
>Hey he wants this this and this charge accordingly
and getting on with her fucking shift? Fuck her up her keester.

Boomers were spoiled rotten by their parents and thus reacted with anger and resentment when they transitioned to the real world where they weren't the center of the universe and entitled to everything whenever they want, regardless of the rules or other people around them.
This is why you have all these cultural, political and artistic elements in the 60s and 70s that revolved around throwing out the rules and making your own, doing whatever you want, getting free shit, making up your own religions etc. and why film and tv often featured power fantasies about protagonists throwing a tantrum and getting their way when everyday rules and situations cramped of their entitlement, like this scene.
Unfortunately Boomers never grew out of that self-centered, entitled world view, which is why the world is how it is today.

Two story with a backhouse in suburbia. I'm planning on live-in health when I'm unable to go grocery shopping. Can't say you'll be able to afford the same by the time you're my age.
>>217807157
Your generation grew up with some sense of entitlement because of No Child Left Behind and everybody thinking they can be a rich influencer, or worse, that they're entitled to a rich influencer's salary just for existing. I'm sorry, but hard work really is the only way. If you're still young, it's not too late.
>>
>>217806652
No substitutions is a very valid rule, never mind making up your own menu items because "look at these 4 other dishes, if you take an ingredient or two from each one you can make my custom order"
if you don't like it go elsewhere.

this is every generation since the end of ww2, including mine and yours. go through your list again and seriously try to argue that yours is exempt from any of them

So not actually wealthy, but still desperate for admiration and envy from strangers in your 60s. Classic boomer child-brain mentality.

The difference between boomers/gen-x and millenials and zoomers is that the former spent their early and/or middle adulthood in the greatest, easiest economic circumstances the western world has ever seen and never grew out of the selfishness and sense of entitlement, but rather deluded themselves that their "hard work" not uniquely easy circumstances got them what they have.
Millenials and zoomers were also poorly parented by Boomers and Gen X, but have subsequently matured beyond the "everyone gets a trophy" phase after having to face a world where tertiary education and educational debt is mandatory, but also worthless, wage stagnation is normalized, destruction of the family unit is normalized, regular financial meltdowns are normalized etc.
Boomers and gen x were mad as YA's about suddenly having to work for their toys, while millennials and gen z were mad about having to work and not getting any toys in return. They're not the same.

The scene is silly. Diners don't do this.
>>
>>217807586
the generations who actually knew how to survive hardships like economic collapse and quarantines are dead or barely conscious, while lifelong spoiled brats are today's elders
>>
>>217807675
The next greatest generation is already alive, we just have to wait for the economic and political influence of Boomers to recede to find out which generation will pick up society from the sewer where boomer retardation and immaturity dropped it.
I'm hoping that it'll be the zoomers who start cutting out the rot, but I don't know if they can recover financially or socially from what boomers did to them in the last 10 years or so.
>>
>>217806660
Boomers:
>"It's the bosses buisness and he can run it however he wants! Don't like it? Then find a new job!"
Also Boomers:
>"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOUR BUISNESS WON'T CATER TO MY DEMANDS?!? THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT! NO I WON'T LEAVE AND GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION! HELP, POLICE! I AM BEING DENIED MY RIGHTS TO GET WHAT I WANT!"

>Retarded boomer thinks he can read other people when he never even learned know himself.
I'm one of the lucky few millennials who had decent parents and managed to get a good job, a family and a house despite your generation doing everything in your power to pull the ladder up behind you. I resent your generation because I have empathy for all the less fortunate people that you've ruined the economy and society for (don't try to understand, it's a feeling that only emotionally mature people can experience).
Unlike your generation, I want my kids and their generation to have a better life than I did, and I also want to see things turn around for my generation and all the zoomers that you subhuman leeches fucked over with covid lockdowns, mass migration, the GFC etc. and once you're finally dead or too senile to affect society anymore, that's what's going to happen and all your legacy will be is being the decadent weak men of the civilization cycle. Too bad you won't be around to see it.
>>
>>217810055
read 'the fourth turning' by strauss & howe, millennials are the hero-archetype generation you are describing. you can see it already happening, with a millennial (vance) entering the white house before a gen X.
>>
>>217810055
yeah im not a boomer you retard lol and that assumption is exactly what im talking about. you have this great big bogeyman built up in your head about who's to blame for all your ills, as if every boomer is rubbing their hands together to make your life miserable. zoomers like you have this bizarre combination of narcissism mixed with a persecution complex, and its that kind of obsessive resentment that makes it inherently impossible for you to achieve what you're hoping to. you have no humility and no self-awareness and yet you're bragging about what an emotionally mature person you are.
