The prequels and the OT both have their good and bad parts, everything like the lightsaber choreography, the one with darth maul on naboo is the best part of TPM, while tho the saber fights in the OT are slower and more representative of how a real sword fight would look, the more balet type of approach to sword fighting in the TP adds more to the spectacle, the world, TP does a much better job at introducing you to the world of star wars, its much more fleshed out and bigger due to its expansive world buidling and political conflict between the republic and other organisations, and cgi showcasing densely populated worlds like curoscant, while the OT focuses more on localised rebel fights and a heros journey, an epic story arc with Anakins demise and fall to the dark side, but the OT looks a lot better visually due to the use of real props and no dependence on cgi, everything feels more real and authentic, buildings, ships, material things all look just like youd expect things to look in real life, every scene is like an old painting, its a visual marvel, they look worn and torn, they have a history rather than all the neat glossy looking cgi stuff. And lets not forget one of the most iconic and coolest bad ass space cowboys to ever have existed, Han Solo which actaully carries whole of the movies, hes alwasy been the quint essential star wars character for me, not just the jedi, the jedi arent that interesting and fun, its the renegade space cowboy who comes from a life of struggle and does morally questionable things but deep down is a good guy who lives in a world where the only way to survive is to not play by the rules all the time.
