Controversial opinion:Luke wanting to kill Ben solo was partially justified. When luke forgave Vader it was at the end of Vader life. Killing Ben early on would be like trying to kill anakin in episode 1 or 2. It would have stopped the massacre of the new academy.
>>217818867based opinion: disney crap isn't canon
Luke didn't want to kill Ben.
>starslopgrow up
>Luke ever wanting to kill anyone after that RotJ scenenot canon
>>217818867>The entire new saga was cause by a misunderstandingriveting storytelling
>>217818867Nah it's going backwards on his character arc offscreen. Huge writing sin
>>217818867Or, here's an idea, we take the one, single, solitary person in the entire universe, literally the only possible person who could know that "Attempt to kill darkside user to save his friends" would be bad and has lived through that choice, and instead "Reach out to them and bring back to the light" worked against someone who was much deeper into the black, and we don't hire a blitering retard who was too stupid to figure out a way to have him use this hard won information in the movie people liked way more than their garbage in an effective way in the plot. This dipshit writer was so stupid he literally took the one character in the entire universe that would know not only was it a bad idea, but exactly why it would forever be a bad idea and why the other idea was way smarter, and could not even manage a throwaway line saying "That plan didn't work for whatever reason so I got tempted to try this!" Not a line of dialogue. Not a visual scene. He's such a bad writer he had the character just up and forget one of the most seminal moments in his entire life. And 'critics' praised it. They thought it was good. At least normies just up and fucking stopped going to the point where this had the biggest dollar sequel drop in history. It held onto that title until The Marvels, even. Normies said "Nevermind" to the point that more than one out of every 3, more than that, was sold in 3 days. It was the biggest blunder by sheer bad writing, and what's wild is that's all it is. Bad writing. Just a dumb choice by a bad writer that got approved. Someone needs to study this shit.
Luke was a nothingburger character. There wasn't anything to be done with him. EU Luke was really bad. He shouldn't get married, or have kids, or be a badass. His story was concluded at the end of ROTJ.

>>217818911True, because there is no Ben. Disney Wars are not canon. RLM lost.
>>217818867I'm still in shock at just how fucking bad all the new star wars movies wereAll of themNothing like Star WarsThe Thrawn Trilogy being adapted would have been better>>217818898fpbp
>>217818898Let’s all just forget 7/8/9 ever happened and if JJ or Rian turns up dead. We won’t ask any questions
>>217819149No, TLJ did have a good idea about Luke trying to end the eternal battle between the two sides of the force. But where he should've gone is to the ancient sith tombs of Korriban to research the sith.
>>217818867Controversial opinion: Niggers tongue my anus. You lost, fuck off ratshill.
>>217819261>TLJ did have a good idea about Luke trying to end the eternal battle between the two sides of the force. You mean that thing he didn't do in between the screenwriter lazily copy-pasting the Yoda story onto him?Pretty much all this is fixed if that unoriginal hack didn't try to redo the scenes people liked from ESB and ROTJ. We did not need the blue ghost from the past convincing him to train the new jedi and we did not need the spooky cave, do something fucking different!
