It's so devoid of charm and of any uniquely human qualities that it's not even funny. If it were done out of pure nihilism that would be one thing, but the reality is it was just trying too hard to follow in john wick's footsteps with more looney tunes-esque kills because that's a surefire way to convey fun for an audience. I'd expected better from the director of The Raid. Maybe he just couldn't boss those hollywood actors around like he did with those Indonesian boys.
