I loved the little epilogue chapter in the comics where Hershel is doing a roadshow with captured zombies. It was interesting, and also just a good ending.

but seriously, how do the zombies function if they don't ingest water? Within a few days, the zombies would be desiccated, certainly within a week they would be completely immobile and dried out. Just sit around and wait, as long as you have enough food and water yourself to outlast them dehydrating you're good

The character drama is pure slop compared to the original kino but the gunplay is quite nice. Its a favorite of my gfs and it's definitely a more watchable zombie movie than half the shit out there.

You could assume they hydrate through eating bodies or exhibit life behaviors and drink water like they do in the Night or 28 Days series. Alternatively in Night it's possible some other phenomena just makes literally every corpse rise, in which case there would always be fresh zombies since someone is always dying regardless of how fast they decompose. I feel like the majority of zombies are non-scientific magic bullshit anyway
