>>217822626Honestly, Manhunter is one of my favourite films of all time. But it's definitely not better than Silence of the Lambs in anyway. Like I prefer it, but I can't say that it's better. This is a pretty indefensible position to take.
>>217824314What is so good about jackie brown? Her plan literally just werks, all the good guys win and the bad guys lose. Fucking boring.
>>217825219I like Jackie Brown but the ending is decidedly anticlimactic.>You got my money? I can meet you? There better not be any funny business. There won't? Well, I'm glad I can trust you after you stole my money. I won't take any precautions then. >[proceeds to walk right into a trap and get shot it the head.]
>>217822567I'll agree with Silence of the Lambs.A Clockwork OrangeAnd the most perfect, Persona 1966
The House That Jack Built with Matt Dillon.

>>217825219You wouldn't understand. It's kinda a midwit filter.>>217825263Even little blonde surfer gal mentioned how low IQ he is. It's basically the story of "he thought he was smarter than he really was." Happened in the beginning with him walking into the bail office and Max Cherry right away knowing that this guy was fake as fuck.
I don’t know if it’s personal preference or a larger idea but all my ideas of “perfect movies” feel like they flow seemlessly from scene to scene. Like a song or poetry. This also has the effect of making it incredibly easy to remember a ton of the scenes from themTaxi Driver for example. Whole movie feels like a mood board even as his mental state collapses.I’d agree with silence of the lambs too. The scene where Hannibal tells Clarice he will help her catch buffalo bill, she begs him to just tell her who he is since she’s caught on he must know his identity at this point, and instead Hannibal taunts her that time is running out, and Billy is probably alreayd looking for that “next special lady”. Cut to “American Girl” by Tom petty being sung by Ruth Martin as she drives home, buffalo bill with his night vision and fake cast to abduct her. Also one reason I think Stanley Kubrick movies are often thought so highly of. They heavily feature music as an integral part along with the tight focused camera work and editing. It’s why they feel so impactful and memorable. If I had to pick my favorite Kubrick movie it would be a fight between Full Metal Jacket and A Clockwork Orange.
>>217825491I love that movie too, I don’t know if people are just pussies nowadays or I’m a desensitised autistic from being raised online but a lot of people seem to check out from stuff like him clipping the duck legs (never mind him killing kids, what about the heckin ducks!)
