China is a huge country, they have plenty of good stuff, stuff that never reaches markets outside of China because of the soft war between America and China for global dominance.

To say that China has surpassed the kdrama market by remaking My Mister, a show I personally dropped - to me, you're thinking too small. Consider the fact that most Chinese products never reach outside of China except to select nations like Russia or Iran. Simply put - most of the world is not aware of the all Chinese goods. And we're probably missing out. Where as Korean products have global access to all markets because we are aligned with America, so more people are aware of kdramas and kpop because of global market access.

To get jealous of kdramas and say that China did it better for My Mister is such small time thinking. Kdramas have more global access, therefore kdramas will more praise globally because are not exposed to cdramas.

And there's no reason for America, China, Koreas, Japan not to be aligned under an open trade agreement - the only thing holding this back is that our political leaders and business elites are direct competition for the global market and military dominance. But to the average person? You're an individual from that country.

And the twist - a lot of kdramas are in fact inspired by Western dramas. For example - that scene from the Portraits of Delusion trailer - I called it out for having similarities to Interview with the Vampire.

Tldr - argue if you must but I don't see a need for it. You are not my direct competitor.
