I watched the first episode of season 1. Genuinely some of the worst shit I've seen put to film. Looked like a high school drama performance. The set design was at that level as well. Maybe even a middle school one, where the parents helped make props. Although, Luffy looked like he was 30 despite acting like he was 8, so maybe they got the parents to help in the performance as well. Anyway, point is, it sucked ass, and you're all subhumans for enjoying it unironically.

as a person who started reading ONEPIECE when Enies Lobby was coming out weekly on Shonen Jump, this trailer is really under-selling Sanji and Nami , Usoppu. it doesn't feel like an ensemble crew show. It's not even just the budget but the way the story is set up. Post-OP becomes very shonen-y, by Water 7 they are already openly talking about powerlevels and secret techniques and other anime shit. Everything up to Alabasta works for Live Action because it's just a scrappy adventure story with fun villains who all have creative strengths and weaknesses
