The Tony Dalton mexican jackass series called no te equivoques was a cheap ripoff but great for no budget tv.
>>217963573lol what the fuck never knew lalo was in a jackass type show
>>217963402I think enough people know about this now that it doesn’t qualify.Still really good though, and it’s refreshing to see a show not either get cancelled too early or dragged on like a shambling corpse.
>>217963632people on /tv/ know mr inbetweeni've only met a couple people irl who have ever seen it and most won't take the recommendation to give it a shot
>>217963539never heard of this
>>217963402what's so great about it?
>>217964015watch episode 2:9 one of the best episodes of anything the last decade
>>217964015Well acted, well written, good action, funny, emotional in spots. Unique. It's a very very good show. There are two episodes in season 2 dealing with child abduction that are both fantastic for different reasons
not underrated but surprised zoomers didn’t run with this because of all the homelander memes. Absolute kino and completely insane.
>>217963402I was memed into watching this and fell asleep 20 minutes into the first episode. If you want Aussie kino, I'd recommend pic related.
>>217964222I grew up in that part of PA and it's very realistic too
>>217963496Never heard of it, looks like Skins for fags
>>217964402Not a bad guessBrassic is basically Snatch for zoomersFunny tho
enjoyed pic rel more much more than the movie of the same name

Way better than I expected it to be.
>>217963402We need more people with this mindset in society
Outcast season 1
No one talks about how good of a show this was. A lot of miniseries tend to fly under the radar
S tier schizo kino
Justified is on par with Breaking Bad and The Shield, it should be talked about more.
>>217964015its not great but its good. after season 1 its kinda one note. could do without the chink kid desu
>>217966225after season 1 they poz it out a lot more overtly
>>217963402I wonder if anyone else here remembers this show? It was fun and sexy.
>>217966259How? The cast is 90% white and there are no homosexuals.
>>217966350s2 is wammen stronk season s3 is nigger stronk season (also every season after it, god limehouse is sucn a horrible fuckin mary sue)
It's better than IASIP yet I have never met someone who has watched this show.
>>217966375>s2 is wammen stronkShe's an old woman who poisons people. She's not exactly Sarah Connor.
>>217966259I have no idea what you're talking about, there's a repressed homo psycho that tortures and kills manwhores, a black criminal group run by another psycho, winona having multiple severe woman moments, and the black marshall's brother-in-law being a walking chimpout
Archive 81 is pretty good, particularly for the genre, and I rarely see it mentioned on /tv/ though I know there are some fans.
>>217966375show where the antagonists are criminals has no black or women criminals>wtf what is this woke garbage!has black and women criminals>wtf only white men are competent enough to be criminals!ur a faget.
>>217966478did you like the part where ex nazi boyd teams up with jew jew mcjewerson to beat up the real nazi?
>>217966424pozzed in this context doesnt mean homosexual it just means kiked. s1 feels like they went too pronazi for the producers and they progressively introduce more crap as mentioned that is increasingly poorly written which is probably my bigger issue with the show.i mean ava's accuser recants and somehow shes still forced to be an informant ffs
>>2179665021. I have no idea what you're talking about, I dont keep a spreadsheet of every time a jew appears in a show2. Rayland says in the literal first episode that Boyd doesn't actually buy into the nazi shit, it's just a way to recruit idiots to help him blow shit up and make money.
>>217966539if you dont care its pozzed thats fine but what are you arguing for
>>217966502>>217966535Why the fuck are there so many of you retards on the TELEVISION AND FILM BOARD. If you have a meltdown over a character's surname ending in 'man' then you should stick to anime.
>>217964224thought this was the weakest of their showsmaybe because being another government agency, the did similar plots ad themes already a few ties in the hollowmen
>>217966585Pozzed means preachy and heavy handed messaging and excessive gayshit you underage retard. It does not mean "a jew and a black guy were on screen at the same time and my sissy clitty started leaking so I had to punish myself in front of my altar to Fuentes!"

>>217963402Based pick OP. This is legit my favorite show.>>217964015Shit just happens. There's no goal established in the beginning, you're just following the life of a man. It doesn't feel like a show when you're watching it because of how immersive it is.>>217967024kek
>>217964155>>217967324It's really well paced too, each episode is only 20 minutes but it's so well paced, it feels longer and not in a bad way.

>>217964222Badly overrated on /tv/ (because it's unwatchably bad and it's absurd to recommend it to anyone)
One of my faves. For me it's up there with This is England, Deadwood, Rome and Chernobyl etc. Feels good
>>217966330This show gets talked about a lot here. There was a dedicated thread to it just yesterday
luv mr inbetween me
I thought this chick was cute
>>217963496S4-6 are flat out bad besides the episode with the trafficked Asian lady. That’s the best episode of the whole series.
Most are pretty good. Bly was weak, but the rest were entertaining.

>>217974967Seconding, great showIt does keep getting dumber after s3 or something IIRC but still
Patriot was great. Also, Animal Kingdom was a lot better than I thought it would be.
>>217963402The episodes are too fucking short. Why didn't they just make a movie?
Highly entertaining and many kino moments
Genuinely bummed its canceled
First season has great mystery, cinematography, and acting
Just a guy filming weird stuff happening in New York and interviewing weirdos
>>217976884You're gonna like the film better
>>217976884Patriot was sheer fucking kino.
>>217963402It's very well directed but at some stage you realise it's just one of those 80s style vanity projects where 1 guy makes a movie/show purely just to make him look like an invincible bad ass. It's so bullshit, the writing is so painfully contrived, this guy can't leave his house without some ridiculously insane thing happening to him, and he magically gets out of it every single time.>>217964224>rob sitchHis 90s show Frontline is ten times better. Watched it last year and it's legitimately excellent.
>>217966464started this and am enjoying it so far.actually good black character i'm pretty impressed
>>217977009> You're gonna like the film betterYeah, I’d already seen the film and figured the tv show would be cheesy so didn’t bother. Once I started it though, I liked it. It helped that the same guy produced both, and I lived for a while in north county so that angle was interesting too.
>>217963402Outer Fucking RangeI'm still mad it got cancelled. The production quality was good, the acting was mostly top notch, the story was intriguing, and it all seemed to be leading somewhere extremely interesting.
>>217977133I'm not interested in faggot sailors having anal sex with young boys so this show has no appeal to me.
>>217977877The first season was ruined by the obvious forced insert lesbian injun police chief. But it was really great. I'm convinced Imogen Poots is actually a schizo in real life.
>>217964985Holy fuck, this show fell off hard. Frankenstein's monster (Mr. John Clare) was the most god damned annoying emo-coded whiny character of all time.Eva Green croaks all her lines in a vocal fry in an attempt to make her voice lower than it really is. She's hot, but it got pretty annoying after awhile. Billie Piper still can't act and I have no idea why she keeps getting cast. The more prominent her role got, the worse the show. Dorian Grey had no place in the series after the first season. He just kind of stuck around I'm guessing because fans liked him. Josh Hartnett was pretty good in this as was Timothy Dalton. Simon Russel Beale as Ferdinand Lyle was also a great character and as cartoonish as it was, he committed to the bit. The show started off well, but each season got increasingly worse, and the last one was a complete dumpster fire.
>>217966225Agreed. Justified is pure kino. I'm binged most of the series, but have been saving the last season because I don't want it to be over. Also, it was the show that finally won Margo Martindale an Emmy.
>>217966330holy fuck, nostalgia unlocked. I don't think I ever actually saw an episode, but I remember the ads. I'll have to check it out.
>>217966350>there are no homosexualsexcuse you?
>>217966375>s2 is wammen stronk seasonA woman is the big bad if that's what you mean. If your takeaway from that season is that "women are strong", you're completely media illiterate.
>>217969552I REAAALLLY wish they had continued in the way that S1 was. The throwback to 60s TV was so fucking god damned kino but the season was way too short. They did a really good job of spoofing tropes from that era without doing what most shows do and make it obvious that they're in on the joke. They just did the thing as authentically as they could which is why it landed so well. I know it's too late to bring this back, but I really wouldn't mind seeing other efforts to do stuff in this vein.
>>217971462These all blew up in the mainstream, though. Also, the score for Haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor were both very clearly influenced by the music from Penny Dreadful to the point where you can hear where they likely used tracks from the latter as temp. (mentioned because Penny Dreadful was posted earlier)
>>217976049At least it's getting another season. I think Scavengers Reign was done more dirty. That show had mindblowing animation and visuals and unfortunately I think the art of the show was lost on most people. They were smart and wrapped up the immediate story by the end of the season, but it should have gotten more.
>>217966387I still think about the bit of faking a car crash to get out of being late
>>217976903probably works out better budget-wise this way. Spend a little at a time, build up interest as episodes air to collect a bigger following and hopefully increase your budget as you go.
>>217976939Natasha Lyonne is starting an AI production studio. Fuck her in her former homeless junkie face.
>>217977916>The first season was ruined by the obvious forced insert lesbian injun police chiefI don't get riled by gay people in shows, but I'll give it to you that it did feel a little shoehorned. That said, I don't think it "ruined" the show. It rarely came up and was barely even acknowledged.
>>217963402The show is in French, but the first season is incredible. Unfortunately it got cancelled and then brought back after a pretty long gap. After the break, it was clear that they lost some of the magic, but I'd still recommend checking it out if you're okay with subtitles. Comedic spoof on cold war era French secret service.
>>217963402Another show cancelled after 1 season. I'll chalk this one up to SyFy's inability to properly promote literally anything they make. The show is well acted and follows the comics relatively faithfully (with some obvious changes if you know the story). Still, what was made is worth a watch. Kids in the 80s attend a school for assassins.
>>217963402Scream QueensA very self-aware horror comedy.
The Billion Dollar Code (2021)
Just finished watching this 2x in a row. One of the things i've seen in the last few years that I did not pick my phone up once while watching. Never seen it talked about here.
Very good show. Comfy and not at the same time.
>>217979174I think S2 and especially 3 divided a lot of people. There is a decline with each season but its a very small one I think. Definitely a great show.
>>217979174>Never seen it talked about hereit got a lot of attention for the cunny
>>217964222It's the closest I've seen to 21st century equivalent of a pulp adventure series. If it was on HBO instead of Cinemax it'd have a bigger following (and probably more detractors). The last season drops in quality but at that point I was invested.
Evilthe dutch girl definitely has a nice asshole
>>217964429Very solid>>217964560Pretty awesome, it made me think Richard Armitage could have been a great Bond
>>217976939>Rian JohnsonFuck it to hell

>>217977514Jesus you’re media illiterate Watch Mr Inbetween again and see if you find another message bud
>>217978381Scavenger’s Reign is a great pick. Super creative and visually awesome
>>217978648Raunchy too.

>>217966387This is one of my favorites ever. Kinda hard to watch since I got sober because there is so much boozing but everyone except Edgar is so cinematically flawed and toxic, I love it, it's like my family and friends. The final season could have been executed better but I did still like how the character arcs ended up.
My type of thread
I just finished this and it was slow to start but about half way through season 1 I was all the way in. I like stories where characters believe in magick but you can't quite tell if the magick is real or not because the narrative isn't overly forthcoming about it. Same deal with The Path, they never make the super natural into actual lore, it's more like an ongoing question. Concrete answers aren't the point.
>>217983532It's one of the most famous tv series of all time
>>217983532I really liked it, but the last part felt like Lost, where I get the impression the writers didn't know how to end it, so they gave a hamfisted attempt at closure that barely made sense
>>217983572Is it really? Lmao I had never even heard of it until like a week ago but I will admit I am both retarded and a faggot. Also moar like this
>>217983634The ending wasn't the strongest part. I read a little about it when I was done and it seems like people think the second season is the best but I really connected with the first season more than the rest of the series. It was a sneaky af slowburn, I thought it was boring for the first few episodes then I blinked and I was at the finale. What are the cigarettes means?
This one is comfy. Pre-Fleabag Phoebe.
>>217976049one of my top shows 2025>>217977008greatest hbo show>>217983477i didn't know about this one >>217983532i like how every season is different from the last one, great television
I've never seen anyone mention this show on /tv/. It's great if you want a grounded show about espionage in the Cold War.
>>217983754Watch the first episode of The Path and I bet you'll get hooked, especially if you enjoyed The Leftovers. Different but similar plots, but lots of common themes
>>217983477Is it cult kino? I liked lizzie's Martha may cult movie.
>>217983942Yes, the premise in season 1 is that Aaron Paul wants to leave this scientology-insert called Meyerism. Its first season is fantastic, and its still good after that, it just makes some drastic changes that not everyone was stoked about. I have never seen Martha Marcy May Marlene but I will check it out if you recommend it, I like cults and Olsens
>>217983783Looks cool
This show was pretty fucking cool and it sucks they pulled the plug within a week of the first season dropping. I guess nobody watched it, but it had great potential.

>>217986191i just wonder what goes through the head of someone who thinks of adding a fart in the face scene
>>217984150Cool, it never gets brought up. The fucking x box commercial gets more of a reference than that show and I was aware of it. I think it was lizzie's second film and it is obvious she was a star. Will from the show hannibal is also in it.

>>217964495quickly falls off after season 1
theres some weird racemix casting in it that kinda ruins it, but the main character is a deranged retard, so it fits and i like the seasonal themed seasons. too bad we didnt get a halloween one. it's essentially Crank as a tvshow (for obvious reasons)
>>217964429it's the other way for me - the show overstayed its welcome and over eight hours of overly eloquent criminals speaking with an English accent proves that the Ritchie formula is not cut out for TV series, it becomes way too dull over time
>>217969552>season 2, whatever happened thereS1 was fantastic thoughbeit
>>217978381that ones full of liberal brainrot though. and its a shame, because the animation and visuals are great like you said. when the women beats up the robot after the hunky man fails i just cant buy into it. you go girl!

I don't think I've ever seen a thread about Longmire on /tv/. It's too bad because it really is solid throughout the entire run.
>>217992404I enjoyed it
>>217987379No way, it's good til the end. My only problem with it is two of the characters are stuck in a toxic cycle and that takes up quite a bit of screen time

Nowhere Man. It's not spectacular, but for a 90s show it definetely deserves to be remembered more. Bruce Greenwood stars as photojournalist who goes on the run after he exposes illegal government operations in a third-world country. They completely erase everything that ever suggests he existed, so he has to both reclaim his identity and find out who's responsible whilst travelling town to town each episode.Lot of crossover with X-Files and Millennium (thematically and crew-wise); Mark Snow does the score, lot of shared guest actors, Frank Black's wife is Bruce's wife, weird tinges of potentially paranormal phenonema that don't really get explicitly explained, paranoia, etc. etc.Plus the pilot is directed by Tobe Hooper. Disney owns it now but aren't streaming it, so you need to watch on YT or download a torrent
