I think the entire show is wasted potential. The biggest problem with the show is that it introduces too many supernatural elements that make the entire thing pointless and stupid.
It's enough that you are stuck in this place and there are monsters out there. That's enough for a story. But the monsters just get inside your head, you are constantly getting bombarded by hallucinations, the monsters just convince people telepathically to open doors for them, they summon storms.
This makes the entire thing pointless. What's the point of doing all this stuff and trying to survive and be secure if the monster just beams a hallucination into your head that makes you open the doors? Or they summon a storm that blows open all the windows? It's fucking cheating. And then you give the humans teleporting trees and now the humans are cheating. Now it's a battle of which side can exploit some bullshit
