Is this the dumbest scene in movie history?
>Decide to go down to the planet despite the time dilation rendering the, at that point, proposed mission impossible
>Somehow unable to see the fuckhuge wave during landing and exiting the Ranger
>Land a fucking mile away from the beacon instead of right on top of it
>Somehow, despite all of the advanced, albeit realistic technology present in the film, they're unable to wirelessly access the data transmission from low orbit and have to physically retrieve it
>Send two humans hindered by gravity, weather conditions, and their own stupidity to retrieve a redundant black box instead of the magical robot
>Leave only one (1) nigga behind on the Endurance to finish the entire mission despite the odds of the deaths of all three remaining astronauts being likely
>Doyle standing idle and yelling at CASE instead of retreating to the Ranger
Whole fucking movie is Independence Day-tier. Fuck Nolan, both of them, and fuck Kip Thorne.

The wormhole being near Saturn is really fucking dumb, especially given the implication that it was placed there by future niggas, but that in its own right makes the writing foolproof, because the fags who wrote it can just say "they knew it would need to be near Saturn because a gorillion years later Saturn itself does X, Y and Z" and other nonsense.
In reality it's just a reference to 2001. Also the goddess Saturn is reminscent of the overarching plot regarding farming and the blight, along with the planet itself looking similar to Gargantua.

I’ve never been a fan of single-stream time travel. I give BTTF a pass because it’s a fun “babby’s first time travel” adventure trilogy, but in general, I find all the garbage allowances and conventions you have to adopt for one timeline to be unimaginative and limiting. I vastly prefer the parallel-universe sort of time travel.

I suppose you could say that those future humans were advanced enough to dimension-hop and save another universe’s “primitive” humans, but that’s not the impression I had of what the story was in this film.

This.

>>218003252
They didn't escape, they were ushered out, by the people (or beings) who created the tesseract in the first place. The Black hole was just an instrument required for them to Interact with Coop and TARS in order to save Humanity.
>>
>>218003396
>>218003538
If you can usher anything out, it's not a blackhole and also doesn't explain why TARS and Coop weren't instantly annihilated by pressure, radiation, heat etc several AU before they even sniff the event horizon

chatgpt told me the blackhole is like supermassive and spinning and that technically the event horizon is also massive and doesnt destroy you instantly or something.
>>
>>218003602
They weren't inside the black hole.
They were in the Tesseract.
The Tesseract was created by fictional beings who can manipulate gravity across time.
The black hole is a medium through which the acted.
The way in which this manipulation works both Nolan and Coop are unaware of.
TARS and Coop explain this.
You are retarded.

The Tesseract in Interstellar is basically a creation by five-dimensional humans from the distant future that is a representation of the three-dimensional universe that Cooper lives in, but with time physically smeared out like frames in a television show. When you watch a television show, it looks like you're seeing moving images, but the images you are seeing are not moving at all. You are seeing one frozen image after another in rapid succession, so it looks as though you are seeing moving images (even though you're not). The Tesseract is like that. Every moment in the Tesseract is like a frozen image, an eternity of its own. And it is possible to move through these frozen images backward (into the past) and forward (into the future). How is that hard for you to understand, you retard?

I might sound stupid, but I think it'd be something like the last episode of Futurama where everything else is not moving, but since my body is working 100% at its' own pace, I'll also age through my own eyes. It's stupid to explain since it's impossible, but I think that moving around without doing everything we need to survive like a immortal being is magic and retarded. It's like saying that I can sprint forever without getting tired through my own perspective because time doesn't move in my magical box preventing me from turning into spaghetti.

Space is Reddit.
>bro what if we like slipped the bonds of earth and ascended to the stars that'd be so cool bro imagine like staring out a big window at a giant pastel colored planet with like rings and novas bro imagine having zero gravity sex and meeting aliens bro I can't wait until going into space is as easy as driving to the next city over and we have Mars colonies and become star childs bro this is all gonna happen within our lifetimes bro
Space is gay and boring. It's an infinite uninhabitable void full of fucking nothing but some dying balls of gas surrounded by a few rocks that got caught in its orbit and the vast majority of these rocks are equally as barren and boring as space itself is either being boiling hot hellscapes or frozen nightmares and the very very VERY few planets that somehow managed to create organic life are death worlds where stupid starving animals spend all day eating and killing each other in the most nightmarish ways possible and in extremely rare circumstances some of these species gain sentience and turn their planets into polluted shit holes before they invariably drive themselves into extinction through technology (we are here) and the cold uncaring cosmos doesn't even acknowledge they existed at all before their sun supernovas into a black hole which will one day engulf the entirety of existence.

We aren't going to explore space. It's a physical impossibility and even if it weren't there's jack shit out there to find except more minerals that the rich satanic pedophiles who rule us would just use to make themselves richer. The closest any human will get to exploring space is looking at photoshopped images taken by unmanned chunks of electronics we fire out into the void. I fucking hate space.

I envy the humans who had no idea of the horrific existence we were born into and thought the sky was the realm of the Gods, instead of what it really is: an infinitely large and empty prison cell we will never escape from.

a group of us saw this in the theater and one of the friends of the group became obsessed with it and bought the special release blu-ray edition and would sit watching all the extra features on loop for about two weeks and anytime we saw him he'd ask if we wanted to watch interstellar, we didn't, no one wanted to watch interstellar, but he did, he'd watch interstellar over and over again whilst we went somewhere and did something. but he'd still be at home, watching interstellar, this went on for a couple of months and after that i don't think any of us bothered him ever again. it was very strange because before this he was quite an adventurous person always open to new things or going somewhere. but once he saw interstellar it jigged some kind of latent disorder and from there on in he became totally insufferable.
