I remember watching it and thinking it was kinda shit, but kinda just okay at the same time. Some episodes are better than others. Then it got cancelled right away, but got a shitty movie as an "ending" that was really dissapointing.Farscape is better in every way.

I liked it at the time, the dialogue borders on unwatchable now, but the setting and world building is pretty good. There's so many great episodes in that one series.

it seems like they had a really rich world planned out for it, you can see some of the nascent storylines explored in serenity but it was like 10% of what it could have been. would have loved to see it run for like 4-5 seasons. even dark matter which only got three seasons managed to progress and resolve its plots and flesh out its world to a very satisfying degree. or to compare it to another whedon show, dollhouse managed to do a lot with the time it was given too.
