I finally watched it and I am convinced the ''fans'' of this show are retarded. They don't even understand the show they watch and their criticisms are stupid.The show doesn't have any mysteries. There is nothing to solve. The place fucks with them and some random bullshit can just kill you and the only way you can survive is if you get some vision that saves you. That's the entire show. There is no mystery. You just have to wait for some vision to tell people where to go and what to do.The real problem with the show is the terrible directing. The vast majority of scenes are the same shit that plays out the same>shot of someone alone doing something>another character enters the scene>''what are you doing?''>''I uh... More yelling, more melodrama shit, apologies, throwing something against a wall. Over and over again. Nothing gets accomplished in these scenes except they show that two characters disagree over something that doesn't matter. Whoever directs and writes this show loves these amateur theater-tier scenes where two characters overact. These scenes completely sideline things that could be interesting, like we could have scenes with the monsters and we could get people trying to talk to them, get some personality from the monsters.

I watched 1 season and had enough. I felt like the horror parts of the show were legitimately good. But the ooga booga weirdness mystery shit does nothing for me and I didn't want to find out where it's going.

The white guy is actually one of the main characters and I think you are supposed to like him, while the black obese guy who seems like he is getting paired with pretty white girls actually is just a pathetic incel who ends up getting tortured and helps the monsters.I don't think they put much thought into the race of the characters. It seems like they had a lot of non-whites to get DEI funding and that's how the show manages to survive several seasons.

Completely unrealistic that Victor survived for 40 years without talisman. They break in every doors or bunkers without it.

I don't remember a single scene where any monster even went after him. He just has blanket immunity and is allowed to live.It could have made sense if they tried to make it make sense. He could have been taught how to survive by the people who lived there before him and because he didn't get caught the monsters stopped coming thinking no one was left alive.Victor would then live alone for a decade or two, hiding every night until new people showed up and then his chances improved because he had other bodies to distract them and he knew all the hiding spots and had the most knowledge. That's how I would have written it, but the writers went with magic.
