Let's talk about the psychologist from Invasion of the Body Snatchers. At what point did he become a pod person?
>>

I do not know, but that version is easily the best incarnation of Snatchers.
>>
There's nothing wrong with becoming a pod person.
I'm saying this in a high pitched tone and there's nothing you can do about it.
>>
Does it matter? Doomed anyway.

This. Checked.
>>
Besides being scary there's something about this movie that's deeply depressing to me
>>
>>218010255
it's unfortunate the ending became a big meme because it's genuinely shocking and heartbreaking
>>
Is this the movie in wich everyone talks over each other, that was trendy in 70s movie to look more realistic, a bit annoying though

How did I never realize until now that Nimoy was in this?
>>
>>218010830
I don't remember that being a noticable aspect of it

It was

i think it's because their situation is always hopeless and the events of the movie are basically them coming to realize that with increasing exhaustion, desperation, and despair. it's about an apocalypse in the sense of the total annihilation of everything you care about or understand and there's nothing you can do about it, it's bigger than you.
>>
>>218010882
That's a good point. By the time they were even aware of what was happening it was too late. Also, the fact that the creatures are taking over their identities and becoming this weird grotesque parody of what humanity once was
>>
This movie is woke and anti-maga.
>>
>>218011009
Not really.
When people of either ideology become obsessed with politics it can seem like they've become a pod person. But I have noticed this totally partisan irrationality to be far more common on the left, whose arguments are inherently illogical.
>>
>>218010695
Didn't that one have a happy ending? Kevin McCarthy is always cool dough.
>>
>>218010255

OP, from the starts but he was smart enough to fake emotions despite not having them compared to the others pod people who were just mindless drones.

FYI this movie is a masterpiece!!!FACT!!!

100% correct but it's also the color palette and cinematography which is very drab and gives the events a feeling of authenticity and not coincidentally the DP was Michael Chapman who also did Taxi Driver that had a similar feeling of urban decay!!!FACT!!!

Just like real life. The apocalypse already happened, we've already been replaced with pod people (brownoids), and its too late

The 70s were an evil time for the middle classes
