I will give you a little hint their friend.
At the time this movie was made, an Apple Power Macintosh was still made in California and cost about $5000.
A brand new 300HP V6 supercharged
Buick Riveria cost a ridiculous $23000
Their home was valued at $250k
And groceries were quite affordable and most weren’t using HFCS yet.

Some of you may be wondering why the hell I mentioned the Supercharged 1990 Buick Rivera. Perhaps you’ve seen hoodrats driving around in them with ghetto wheels. Well, these cars were high tech for 1990 with touch screen infotainment before we even called it that. Digital dash. Plush comfortable interiors. The reliable 3.8 liter V6 mated to a composite super charger. It was an absolute unit of luxury and performance and a value at $23k which was like your average yearly salary in 1990.

Yeah, I'm sure an 8 year old child was buying beer and coffee. And he's only buying shitty microwave food, no rotisserie chicken.
