I'd say both VHS and DVD were equally as soulful but after that, all went downhill
Looks like a you problem
>>218189046There is nothing soulful about not being able to watch the best scenes in a rental VHS because someone kept reminding and watching the same scene over and over. I swear, Ox Baker was all but cut out of Video Vault's copy of Escape from New York because someone kept watching the MSG scene.
VHS > Blu-ray > my USB with pirated kino straight into the TV > DVD > streaming

>>218189046>Wait until after the feature for bonus contentVs>Extras accessible via the menu I'm going menu every time.
>every movie had a unique menu packed with easter eggs, bonus features and extra canon materialdvd made up for what it lost in physical medium
>>218189046VHS sucked and the fondness for it is inexplicable to me
>>218189046I miss watching kino on 320x240
>>218189225>half the movie spoiled in the menucompletely forgot about thatVHS wins
Laserdisc was superior to VHS.Thankfully we weren’t poors. We had a laserdisc player with a front projection home theater when I was a kid and a rear projection when I was a teen. My dad has a collection of over 1000 laserdiscs and unfortunately they have been rotting. But they are not nearly as bad as VHS bought at the same time would be
>>218189046>and DVDabsolutely not
>>218189046DVD was king. I miss animated menus.

>>218189657Oh I bet you enjoyed the rear projection you homogiant
>>2181890468mm was more soulful than anything. Nothing you watch have such soul.
>>218189221>vhs>bonus contentvhs tapes rarely had enough room for bonus content after the movie.
>>218189046what's wrong with bluray? it's just a DVD with higher quality
