What was the best 90s/early 2000s historical epic?
black hawk down
>>218190182braveheart or gladiator if we go by box office and what normies will most likely recognize
>>218190182Kingdom of Heaven was so atrociously boring. Only contribution to society are the King Baldwin tradzoomer tiktok edits Last Samurai was good but WMAF gooner slop. Haven't seen the rest.
>>218190182none of these were historic
>>218190182All of these suck, but Last Samurai was probably the most competent
>>218190182Braveheart is peak Mad Mel, but it has kind of an abrupt ending and whatnot that I don't like. Gladiator is not that good in hindsight and only has a couple of big moments that carry it. Troy is pretty damn good, but it should've included more of the director's cut scenes. Alexander is a mess and should've been in chronological order. Kingdom of heaven director's cut is kino, but suffers from Orlando Bloom and his character. Last samurai might be the best cause it has an immensely satisfying story and arc where everything comes together.
Master and Commander
>>218190182In terms of kino alone, 300.Probably more accurate than most of the movies in that pic, kek.>>218190941Serious answer is this tho
>>218190182braveheart
>>218190182Of this pic? Gladiator. Troy and Braveheart are pretty good too, same with The Patriot.>>218190941This is the REAL answer though.
