Rewatching the Godfather and the wedding scene is so excellent because it tells so much about the characters and movie in just one scene

Vito saying “We’re not taking the picture without Michael.”

I’m pretty sure it’s the only scene in the movie that Vito and his wife are seen on the screen together

Paulie being told to “do his job” by Clemenza and being made to get him wine and then basically saying he wants to steal from the bride

Sonny’s angry outburst at the FBI

Michael saying “That’s my family Kay, not me.”

Fredo not having a dedicated scene like his brothers except to show himself drunkenly talking to Mike and Kay

Barzini tearing up the photo taken of him

Never payed much attention to the scene closely but it’s a perfect way to start the movie, character introduction wise

It's the GOAT for a reason

>connie and carlo's wedding
>vito and carmela stand in the middle of the picture
sicilian culture is so weird
>>
>>218192095
They’re the founders of the family why wouldn’t they be in the middle?
>>
>>218192115
my expectation would be that the couple getting married would be centered in their own family wedding photo i suppose

Saw it, didn’t care for it.
Just another movie about stupid people doing stupid things. I dont care about these scumbags, nor the kind of present day scumbags who romanticize this shit.

You forgot the most important scene.

The fat pussy subplot in the book fucking killed me as a kid when I was reading it.
>>
>>218192424
Haha I never noticed
>>

Trust me, nobody romanticizes this lifestyle lol. The point of the movie is that this life style is terrible .

But to each their own. What films do you prefer?

I like how Coppola gave a little nod to that stupid storyline even though he was right to cut it

When you say "a little nod".... you mean the whole Godfather 3?
