Name a SINGLE thing he did wrong.

Marry skyler

turning down the job offer at Grey Matter in season 1. I think if he somehow heard Gus’ “A man provides no matter what” speech earlier, he probably would’ve felt humble-enough to accept the offer
>>
Being a grandiose narcissist.

Not letting Gus kill Jesse
>>
>>218192927
Walt and Jesse are too much of an iconic duo for Walt to allow some nigger to kill Jesse.
>>
>>218192771
I think Breaking Bad is a victim of its own fandom because they have convinced themselves Walt is pure evil when in reality he is much better than a lot of the criminals on the show.
>>

I've analysed all the episodes and came to conclusion that the turning point was him killing jesse's girlfried. if he just let them fuck off he could've kept working for gus until his death from cancer while jesse would've just od in some shithole. gus really had no reason to kill walt until he started killing his men to protect jesse, which happened after his gf died.
the only issue with that timeline is that gus might've died at salamancas place because he'd have to bring someone else instead of jesse, and jesse was the one who saved gus and mike
>>
what movie?
>>
>>218192927
This. Jesse is the source of nearly all of Walt’s problems but the whole son I never had bullshit soft spot Walt had prevented him from just letting him go

Not taking the huge stack of cash when he had the chance. He could have lived a very nice life until the cancer took him on an island eating pineapple fried rice and fucking young Thai girls.
>>
>>218193342
If Jesse could have saved Gus and Mike then I'm sure one of Gus' other goons who had way more fighting experience could have as well.

Really, there is no singular "turning point", just a series of selfish and shitty decisions Walt made. If Walt wasn't such a pompous prick to Jesse in every single conversation they had, Jesse may have respected and looked up to Walter way more and protecting Jesse would have been as simple as talking him down from shooting those two guys.
>>

he took half measures

Committed multiple felonies related to the manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine.

Watched Jane asphyxiate on her own vomit.

You mean morally or like tactics?

Probably fucking over Mike. Always staying in the game way later than he intended. Not letting Jessie out because he's more codependent than an abusive gay couple.

Generally just being a narcissist

blew up a bunch of old people, poisoned a child, manipulated fucking everyone around him including his family, killing Mike just because he called him out on his bullshit

Walt could afford to buy the real girls.
Lady boys are what the tourists get.
>>
>>218195337
He did kill Mike in the spur of the moment, but Jesse later points out that Walt was only free to murder Mike’s solid guys because he was dead. And that was the correct choice because of the terrible lawyer Mike went with.
>>
>>218192771
Fell for Jessie's plan like an idiot and fucked everything up.

paying for dipping sticks, i could understand getting them for free, but specifically paying for them, it's like 7000% markup

he refused to wear a mask in the lab during covid. That was when Gus turned on him.
>>
>>218195412
He didn't need to kill them, they wouldn't have talked. And it wouldn't even be a problem if he just worked for Gus without being such a fucking narcissist
>>
>>218195337
The blast was entirely self-contained inside Hector's room. The only people to die were Hector, Gus, and Tyrus.
"Poisoned" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. It was no more than a cold, Walt knew what he was doing and that the boy would be fine with no long terms issues.
He was the smartest guy in the room and they should have listened to him more.
He killed Mike because he wouldn't give him the names.
Next you'll be telling me he "kidnapped" his own daughter.

>>218195528
One of them was literally in the middle of making a deal.
>>
>>218195528
Mike’s lawyer sold him out, that’s why he had to abandon his granddaughter at the park. And the rest of the employees had their Vamanos Pest meth hazard pay seized, they would all have talked to keep some. Mike’s speech before he dies is how he personally sees it, but he’s wrong. Walt’s relationship with Gus soured because he saved Jesse’s life by killing the two dealers. Mike obviously isn’t going to change his opinion of a man he’s worked alongside for decades when he already hates Walt.

If Walt just agreed to Jesse's plan to poison them there would be no problem.

>>

>blew up a bunch of old people
Why do anti-Walt fags just lie as if no one else has seen the show? No one besides Gus and his goon and Tio were even injured. Also pretty melodramatic to call giving the spiclet a tummyache “poisoning.” I’ll grant that Mike was unnecessary but you can’t seriously be broken up over that piece of shit’s death
>>
>>218192884
>I think if he somehow heard Gus’ “A man provides no matter what” speech earlier, he probably would’ve felt humble-enough to accept the offer
He would just do that exact thing he did anyway, deny the job offer and try to get money through meth since that was seen as an ideal alternative for him
>>
>>218192771
He probably would've completely gotten away with it if a) he lived in a house with more than 1 bathroom
b) he didn't leave the walt whitman book in his only bathroom
c) hank didn't need to shit that day
>>
>>218193046
That's my take on it too. To avoid getting viewed as "problematic" in normie spaces, Breaking Bad fans now have to over-vilify Walter to not be seen as being sympathetic with a toxic controlling straight white cismale. The problem is that this completely knocks the bottom out of the show's entire premise. Breaking Bad is a show about a man who BECOMES a villain. If he was pure evil from the getgo then why the fuck would the show need five seasons? Walter isn't Patrick Bateman.

But that was quite a small amount of 'za for an average sized person, no?
>>
>>218195337
>killing Mike just because he called him out on his bullshit
Mike was 100% in the wrong and just having a butthurt spergout because Walt didn't just let himself get murdered. Only redditors think that Mike was le epically owning Walt in that scene.
>>
>>218196603
Even after the book, all he had to do was not confront hank about the tracker.
>>
>>218192771
He should have walked away immediately once Tuco gave him the money at the junk yard when he introduced the blue recipe. He didn't have to watch Tuco beat that guy to death. If he had walked away he would have driven off immediately and Tuco would not had stopped him to save his life. Now that Jesse and Walter were witnesses that's why he kidnapped him. Then next week business as usual.

He should have taken the job Elliot offered him.

He should have trained Gale and convince Gale to tell Gus to let him live and work together. Then have Jesse as a sub and work with Mike.

Talked Gus into buying him out since he was going to die of cancer. Then donate the money to his family.
>>
>>218196949
That 100% made it worse for Walt, and directly confirmed Hank's suspicions, but at the same time Hank wasn't going to give up and would've found something
>>
>>218192771
Are you kidding? The list of things he did right would be wayyyy shorter than the list of things he did wrong.
>>
So Walter was the one who killed the kid who killed Combo knowing that Jesse would go after the two gangbangers thinking they had killed the kid so he could save Jesse and be his hero just so he could get him back under his thumb and use that as evidence later when he poisoned Brock to convince Jesse that Gus was capable and willing to kill kids so that Jesse would kill Gus to free Walter?
>>
>>218197633
Yes, Walter even gave himself cancer as an excuse to get into the drug game.
>>
>>218192771
had bad genes when he made Walt Jr.
>>
>>218197633
No. The gangbangers killed the kid, either of their own volition or as a literal interpretation of Gus’ orders. Walt’s plans clearly aren’t as concrete as they’d have to be to orchestrate this, as he’s constantly in fear of Gus and trying to renegotiate.
