Fans are kidding themselves when they say they want a faithful adaptation. Game was hard carried by the puzzle solving and the slow progression.
Anybody who looks at the story will see that it's no big deal.

Putting "Jill sandwich" in a movie will unleash more chaos than the chicken jockey.

You should've used the gif.

((Some)) Gamers are retarded anon, they play games for the story, if you play games for the story you are 100% a certified retard.
>>
If they take the RE 4 story and water it down, it could have some semblance to a good movie.
>>
>>218195366
I wanna see it.

I'd rather make a stealth/v/ thread on /tv/ under the guise of the movies talk with it. But it's on /v/ right now. Some bot or autist makes an RE thread using it once a week or so. That crazy asshole.

>Game was hard carried by the puzzle solving and the slow progression
>"Dude let's play Resident Evil for the boring shit and gay puzzles lmao"
Nobody thinks that at all. People want to see cool zombie monsters.

That doesn't mean it has to be pure schlocky action
>>
>>218195363
Maybe I'm misremembering but I thought they did in Welcome to Raccoon City. If not that one there were at least some other lines that might as well have ended with the actor winking into the camera.
>>
>>218195318
what the fuck would a faithful adaptation even look like? I doubt there's even 5 pages worth of poorly written dialogue delivered by characters that make cardboard cutouts look well rounded in the whole thing.
>>
>>218197043
you could probably make something work between chris and jill uncovering the mystery of umbrella's experiment and wesker's treachery. its not like action horror as a genre is all that deep plotwise anyway

Everyone talks about TCM’s influence on RE7, but that eyeball closeup was directly taken from the dinner scene as well:

it doesn't even make sense to be called resident evil after the first game.
The original Japanese title is just Biohazard
>>
>>218197198
Resident Evil is honestly a better title.

They did. She steals somebody's sandwich at the precinct and goes "It's a Jill sandwich now!"
>>
>>218197141
Then it's no longer a faithful adaptation. One of them spends the whole game in a prison cell.

true. the comedic bits in RE aren't even good. it's just an odd cringe.
>>

Resident, as in a resident virus that is inside the human body. Holy shit. Are you seriously this illiterate?

I think what people want is a closed off one location horror film. Which would work great with Resident Evil
>>
>>218197353
They could change that easily to being the midway nadir as they 'lose' the other character.
>>
>>218197457
dude there's billions of indians who have internet now, it's over. no need to waste your time with these fools.

WTRC was decent but they ran out of money. Changing Leon from an anime super hero to a dumnbass stoner jeet was pretty funny.
