Dune movies have nothing to do with the book. Fremens are completely different, Chani is a whole another person, but in any case it would fail, like the books did, to explain why Paul seeks to escape deification. Frank Herbert dug himself two holes so big he could crawl in either one. First off, Paul sees jihad (which does not exist in kikefied Villeneuve work) and works to escape it, because Herbert needed his protag to be good. He wants to lessen Fremen fanaticism - and the Dune's premise about desert rats being this elite soldier corps is another nonsense - and in doing so he keeps crippling his own cause. Everything he does is warlike and cruel but Herbert fails to show us that the lessening of the Jihad is just Atreides propaganda. What then works against the plot in the book (which at this point is completely incompatible with Villeneuve's movies) is that he unlocks ancestral memories, meaning he intends to have his bloodline rule at any cost, even his own death. So he dies and Alia immediately starts purging people he left alive to make himself feel good. Dune books always fall apart when their bombastic language meets political pragmatisim and Herbert is so far up his humourless ass that he never makes a funny fart to break up the uptight nomenclatura of the plot.
