I finally watched this. What did I think of it?

I mean, it's pretty fucking terrible, both as a film on its own and as an extended AVGN episode. It's literally for no one. It's just not funny, not really that creative, not really that interesting. A big part of that has to do with the fact that James Rolfe and his co-writer, who apparently wasn't Mike Matei, are just really, really bad at screenwriting. Evidently, they don't understand what makes The Nerd likable and certainly couldn't find a way to make him interesting enough for a feature. On top of that, James Rolfe also felt the need to inject all of his genre fixations into this movie, shoving them in haphazardly without thinking what they were doing to the narrative. This movie should have been stripped down, simple, easy to shoot, and no longer than 90 minutes. James Rolfe shot it like he had $300 million at his disposal and made it a nearly 2 hour affair. So it just looks really cheap and feels bloated.. It's all over the place. Nothing really sticks with you. And worst of all, it feels really generic at points, which is the last thing you should feel watching an AVGN anything.

This. I quit 30 minutes in and have no intention of finishing it.
All James had to do was make 80 minute episode that was like his Frankenstein one, but nope.

Eh. Like all YouTuber movies it sucks, but it was mildly amusing at parts. Way too goddam long though

James thought the movie would launch his film directing career and he'd be able to leave AVGN behind, which is why he made a ton of retarded decisions like filming on-location in California.

I unironically enjoy Kickassia more than this.

I enjoyed Rental Reviews despite Tony always being annoying and interrupting and making it about himself and that giant disgusting obese jewish one always being negative or a wet blanket like on the review of Christmas Vacation. Then of course there was that other bearded fat one who was too autistic for public viewing and whose fixation on obscure and bad video game-based cartoons really brought the whole thing down.

What I really mean is, I like the two or three episodes with Mike. You could see James really get comfortable and enjoy himself as well.

Depends, do you have standards or not?

I couldn't finish it, somehow it was worse than channel autism movies

The more I watch it the more I like it. The salt and impotent screeching about the movie is just gravy.
