It's like two robots are just pushing one another when one would normally show some signs of increased effort/will (to make a harder hit). Think of things such as: breathing (breathing techniques, increased breathing), facial expressions (when trying to hit someone harder your face contorts, frustration, emotion etc.), physical characteristic twitches (Neo might be confident but he is human, the Agent is a machine, yet both move in the exact same robotic way). Smith is throwing way too many flashy kicks. Really out of character, choreography wise. After his opening combo it got better, for a while.

The exchanges where Smith is throwing multiple basic punches worked, except they just kept happening without variety, without progression of the fight’s story. In the movies, you wouldn’t get seven of that type of shot in a row because you don’t need that many to make the point.

After the transition to the bamboo forest and Smith throwing a piece of bamboo at Neo, it lost me with his return to doing flashy moves that don’t fit him, and I stopped watching.

Smith can and occasionally does kick or knee in the original films, but they’re all basic, mid section height or lower, and usually completely frontal. Spinning or jumping kicks just don’t fit his basic, up close, constantly attacking style. Smith should never take a bladed stance or try to be anywhere but in the pocket.

It’s improved a lot in the short term but it’s nowhere near replacing Yuen Woo Ping yet. Honestly, it might never. He was a talent that I haven’t seen a human replacement for yet.

This is just proof of concept, it's pushing the AI to the extremes to see what it is capable of doing. This was most likely done in 1 hour by some goober in his basement for fun. If it can somewhat do a highly complex Matrix fight scene this well, and it is getting way better every 8 months, then a competent person who knows how to use the tool with restraint could easily make a good movie with it. I'm not exaggerating when I say 2027 to Hollywood feels like it will be what 2007 was for the movie rental industry, and by the mid-late 2030s Hollywood probably won't even exist anymore
