The Expanse presents a plausible, believable near future universe that humans could actually experience. That's what scifi is meant for. Analyzing and predicting what could actually happen. Not just saying "we can go to ten thousand new worlds daily and there should be lots of aliens, but they are just humans with weird foreheads"
