Let’s have a serious, professional, and thoughtful discussion about the role of black actors in Hollywood. The 80s and 90s black actors had prominent roles but they were mostly confined to action or comedy films. Denzel Washington was probably the first a list name that showed that black actors could be critically acclaimed without adhering to glorified minstrel roles. Personally I think the sky is the limit and am happy to see what the future brings. I think Michael b Jordan has probably at this point claimed Denzel’s old title as the most high profile and respected black actor.
Don't think this guy has been in a single movie that wasn't some kind of "whitey bad" flick.
