A special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing.

I get the same feeling every time someone posts new AI generated slop.

Was this before or after he wrote Indy as a statutory rapist?

I noticed something yesterday: I was watching a reaction channel and it always makes me feel a bit weird. Some podcasts too. I can't put them on as background noise. And why? Because their microphones only work when they're talking into it. Every time the say something you get their voice plus some static. And then it drops silent. There's no background noise when they're saying nothing. So you're constantly being jogged into attention. Which is kind of annoying if you want something to fall asleep to.

It may due to copyright because the algo will pick up whatever copyrighted music is in the background when they're not talking.

It’s a noise gate. The gate “opens” and lets sound through when the volume is above a set threshold, but closes when the volume dips below it. If people are recording in rooms that aren’t acoustically treated, there may be a lot of ambient noise in their recording. Gates can be used (along with EQ) to help mitigate these issues, but setting up the gate so it’s not so obtrusive takes a little work and knowledge. YouTubers aren’t audio engineers and likely use some prefab “noise reduction” setting in their software that sounds like ass.

I’m working on a video right now, and I’m recording on a Yeti mic in my living room through Voicemod, and it has an automatic filter that cuts out any ambient sound. Basically, anything that’s not a voice speaking directly into the mic. I’ve got a swivel fan going, my shitty refrigerator, and it picks up none of that. It’s actually kind of a cool feature for tards like me.

Reactions channels are so fag-coded. If you’re looking for friend simulators, AVGN/Monster Madness, Oneyplays, RLM, MonsterVision/The Last Drive-In, or Mystery Science Theater 3000/Cinematic/Titanic/Rifftrax are what you go with if you actually have any hair on your chest.
