How come this movie never recomended?
And even before the whole Spacey thing, this one was like never mentioned as good watch.
>>
It’s good and the revisiting the past scene is absolute kino. It sells the movie.
>>
I for one believe Prot is from K-Pax
>>
Because it's Blue Balls: The Movie

Fortunately the novels (at the time; a trilogy) managed to scratch the itch. But this thing needed sequels for sure

Spoil it for me

the mid-to-late 90s is just a giant black hole of lost movies honestly, not as bad as the 70s where like only 5 movies from that decade are remembered, but so much legit great shit from 1990 to 2000 has been completely forgotten
pic extremely related

>traumatized mental patient thinks he's an alien
>does enigmatic shit helping people and being positive
>first half of the movie acts like he's crazy, until it's literally confirmed he's an alien
>right as the movie starts heating up and getting really fucking interesting it ends
it's 100% blue balls the movie like >>218205556 said

I mean spoil the novels, I should have said that.
>>
I'm on the record saying it's my favorite Spacey movie, look it up.

Man I havent seen Dennis Quaid in anything since Day after Tomorrow

Funnily enough, I don't remember. It goes to and from between
>he's an aylmao
>actually he's just a guy
>no, wait he's an ayy
>or maybe not
>wait, that doesn't fit--

All I recall is that I was satiated after the third novel. Iirc, it's more hinted that he's an alien. He certainly gets to talk more about his civilisation. But the context can also be translated into human post-diddling trauma, e.g.
>on my planet we don't have families
>all of the adults take care of the kids
>and also when we have sex/procreate, it's like super-painful for our kind

Dudes an alien that inhabits a guy who broke due to trauma. It's made explicit.

So he was an Alien
I FUCKING KNEW IT
>>

I don't think that many people remember it even exists. It is a solid movie, from what I remember, but it wasn't a huge hit.

Well yeah 2001 was a pretty heavy hitting year in terms of movies
Plus 9/11 didnt help much, people didnt really want to go to movies after that
