>Boy I sure hope I don't make any rash decision I can't take back while in a emotionally volatile state. It would certainly be prudent to delay decisions until I have all the info, and it would cost me literally nothing except some patience.
>>218208874This movie is fucking weird. Doyle gets stabbed and shot to death and Sean and Sean Penn's character just kinda move on.
>Steve, I'm extremely upset right now at learning that Bucky killed my parents, but since he was mind-controlled by Nazis at the time, I acknowledge that it's not reasonable to blame him. Can you guys handle Zemo while I cool off outside?
>>218208926It's about the outlook on life of stoic pragmatic men, "shit happens, not worth to ruin the stability of the community over it", basically it's moral that Jimmy is to be allowed the transgression of killing Dave cause he is more respected and useful for the community than the person he killed, and things would likely collapse further and destabilize more lives if he was to be exposed and put to justice.
>>218208874Libdems forgive Penn beating Madonna with a baseball bat, if he makes GOP looks bad
>>218208979kek>>218209081Jimmy wasn't allat though. Just a bum in a 3 person "gang".
>>218209145He owned a convenience store, that's an important thing in a small town.
>>218209141its ok, he hates trump
>>218209141>forgive Beating Madonna with a baseball bat should be a national sport
>>218209168Doesn't his wife monologue at the end like he's the emperor on the universe when he's basically a dime a dozen pajeet shop owner?
>>218208874>i killed my childhood friend and feel bad>OMG my husband i'm so proud of you let me reward fuck youI've felt a degree of disgust I haven't yet experienced from other movies. Other movies may evoke annoyance or mild disgust, but the way his crime is brushed off the same way a child is forgiven for doing an oopsie is what I found genuinely upsetting, repulsive. The movie tries to push sympathy onto his character but even if you didn't know his friend was innocent why would you give any to someone who essentially tortured a confession out of his victim which he then murdered? I'm not buying it, even with his daughter dying what he did afterwards did not make me feel bad about him in the slightest, fuck this guy
>>218209450based and sane reactionI don't believe in >>218209081I believe in justice and principles at all cost
>>218209297She's a good wife. It's to contrast Dave Boyle's wife who sold him out instead of standing by and believing her husband.
>>218209081You're filling in the script for the writers. I ain't read the novel so maybe you're pulling from there, but Jimmy is not portrayed as a man admired by the neighborhood. He's a man admired by his gang and his wife, yes, but he's not the sort of guy who should be looked up to and the film clearly doesn't want us to look up to him. I think the film would have ended better if he'd gotten arrested to be desu. Strange fucking ending as it is.
>>218209081>pragmatic men>let's let this guy get away with murderCan't get more pragmatic than that
>>218209450that's a good wife right there
>>218208926what evidence is there outside of Jimmy's vague "if only you'd been a little quicker" remark? Sure, Sean knows, but he can't prove it. Dave is gone, and that's that.
>>218208874prisons are full of guys who have bad impulse control
if I killed somebody I'd expect my wife to stand by my side. I watch her stupid ass 90 Day Fiancé shows with her, it's the least she could do for me
>>218208874>boy I sure hope I don't make any rash decision I can't take back while in an emotionally volatile state. I wasnt really good at painting anyways. Maybe ill look into some other form of art.

Nice ensemble. The gloves are a bit much, but I could go a 3/4 length leather jacket like that.
