All leakers seem to agree that the movie opens with an incursion between the X-Men universe and the Sam Raimi Spider-Man universe. In an incursion, either one universe is destroyed or both are, and the X-Men have been forced to destroy several universes to protect their own. It all leads to a fight between Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man in which Wolverine kills Spider-Man, and is then killed when the Raimi-verse collapses before he can make it back to the Fox-Verse. Depending on who you ask, Deadpool and Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus are also involved.It’s a pretty ballsy way to open the movie if true, and it’s sure to generate controversy. Thoughts?
