Marvel made significant changes to the Spider-Man lore when he came to the MCU to differentiate it from previous versions, like Peter Parker being Iron Man’s protégé, Uncle Ben barely mentioned and Aunt May hooking up with Happy Hogan, Mary-Jane Watson, Ned Leeds and Flash Thompson being completely different characters, etc.What kind of changes can we expect from the MCU X-Men, considering the Fox movies arguably already did the biggest characters and plot points from the comics?

It'd do better as a series because what makes X-men good is the stories about all the individuals.The goal should be individual stories and small scale heroics that lead up to some big threat.
