Where does Tony Jaa rank among the all time action stars? Has he surpassed Van Damme?
no ricecel manlet ranks at all
Ong Bak 1 was good. 2+3 were tedious.
For me, it's Donnie Yen in Ip Man.
>>218218022Does Donnie Yen have any good movies outside of Ip Man? They are great, but the few movies I've seen of him outside of Ip Man have been kind of awful.
>>218218001the protector was kino
>>218218115I love the lack of labor laws in Thai cinema. Like old Hong Kong movies
>>218218066Iron Monkey is the only one with him as a lead that comes to mind as being worth watching. The Jet Li movies he fights in are usually pretty good though. Hero and Once Upon a Time in China II, in particular.
>>2182180012 > 1 >>>>>>>>>> 3
hes got cooler fights than van damme but he doesnt have the cool factor
>>218218000imagine thinking jackie chan doesnt rank among the greatest action stars
>>218218330I was watching one of his more recent movies and yeah he kind of just looks like a dude. The story reminded me of those straight to VHS/DVD movies Seagal did in the 90's/early 00's but the action felt was fun though a bit repetitive with just mobs of machete people just running at him over and over and over and over.
>>218217982He was never in a single good movie so pretty fucking low
>>218218066Donnie Yen has made an impressive amount of unwatchable slop
>>218218066Tai Chi
I enjoyed watching Ong Bak 1 and 2.
>>218218677FUCK MUAY THAI
>>218217982>surpassed Van Dammenot even close. He has one good movie which was the first ong bak
>>218217982No one surpasses Van Damme and his movies.
>>218218736have a webm
>>218218822Maybe I should have started lower with Seagal.
>>218217982>Has he surpassed Van Damme? No, and never will. For two reasons 1: He's not cool enough. Van Damme was a horrible actor, but he had the charisma.2: We're no longer in the 90's, it's not just about cool fights, it's about the music, the villains, the cool concepts, the iconic scenes and the perfect balance between cheesy and serious.
>>218218870In defense of Seagal, with the exception of "On deadly ground" all his movies up to "Under siege 2" or "Executive decision" are surprisingly good.
>>218219156My memory of him might be clouded by all his later stuff. I watched a marathon of his on cable a while ago and it was just "you kidnapped my wife" but with different actresses back to back to back.
Jaa doesn't have anything as good as thishttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Zu1YIukylw
>>218218115It sure as fuck was.
>>218217982Don't search how he looks now
>>218219260Well, Liam neeson build his career on people kidnapping his daughter.
>>218219346I saw him in Strike Rescue or whatever it was called. He looks shorter and fatter than Ong Bak.
Uh Tony Jaa has been battling stage 3 gallbladder cancer, you faggy faggots.
>>218217982The two manlets from The Raid mog him
>>218218066mismatched couples
>>218217982He is more of a stunt man then actor. Zero range and badly delivered lines.
>>218220963that one when they fight in the kitchen is great.
>>218218066Sha Po Laang (SPL) and Flashpoint are absolutely GOAT-ed. People ith don't know shit. Also Chasing the Dragon which is relatively new and Dragon (2011) are great.
>>218218022ip man is gay chinkslop
>>218218066I liked Flashpoint and SPL. Also Wu Xia(Dragon) and Bodyguards and Assassins. I think he's a better actor than his contemporaries.
>>218221299>badly delivered linesyou speak thai?
