what does /tv/ think of this movie? The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
>>218219181Kino director
the thing about how an assistant editor's temp VO is in the final film is probably my favorite filmmaking anecdote of all time
It would be better if the movie title didnt spoil the movie
>the blardiblar of yadidahno, look you, that's not how it's done!
movie title autism
>>218219606it would be if the movie were any goodbut if you compare it to the 3:10 to Yuma remakewelldo you have eyes in your head?
>>218219181 i didnt watch it because that rentboy Casey Affleck is in it. I can't stand that faggot
>>218219621Russel Crowe and Ben foster's characters are lovers in that faggot film
>>218219645I thought it was a western! I swear to God! I want to see a man in a white hat and a man in a black hat and pistols at dawn in front of the saloon... I don't want to see a big beautiful cock slipping into an asshole! Now that wasn't in the movie but c'mon, if you're gonna make a movie make it right.I want to be in the back yelling "Go! Go, Sheriff! You'll get the towns people behind you!"I don't want to be whackin off in the back, cumming all over the guy in front of me, he's all mad, yelling at me - then who's the homophobe? This guy is so insecure in his sexuality he doesn't want my jizz all over his face.
>>218219645you're just in denial of Ben Foster's godlike acting abilities
>>218219181>Look at the flowers...Pure fucking kino
>>218219563It's about the journey, not the destination.
>>2182191816 / 10Too long, like everything since 1990. Looks great for something shot in this century.Recommended.
>>218219621>3:10 to Yuma remakeFuck off, capeshitter.
>>218220099you know what, I don't get itI'm stumped on this one
In this house, Robert Ford is a hero. End of story!
One of the 5 good movies made in this century so far
>>218219563>complaining about spoilers in movies about historical figures
>>218219181It's ok.
>you know what I expected? Applauseliterally me fr
>How Jesse James' wife reacts to Bob whenever he's aroundLiterally me around friends gfs. Too close to home
>>218221890I want the 4 hour cut where the epilogue after killing Jesse is like a third of the movie.
>>218219563It leads you on to think the movie is about Jesse James, when in actuality it's about Robert Ford
>>218219181Too long. Sam Shepard gives the best performance.
>>218219181Hauntingly peak ending
>>218219181mastapiece
Hello, Bob.
>>218221975not to mention the title is an ironic wordplay because the film is actually about the posthumous character "assasination" of robert ford by jesse james
>>218219181before streaming services this movie would run on certain channels several times per week, it was obnoxious but I also came to appreciate it over time
>>218219181Release the 4 hour version!
>>218222982>before streaming servicesbruh netflix started streaming the same year it was released
>>218219181It’s kino of the highest order, 2007 truly was the last year of Hollywood https://youtu.be/q4jC5FZPSX0?si=fHzgpYzaJbb-aMAEhttps://youtu.be/r2gY_e1ZKD8?si=iTPTl4rOJ5rmkQN5
>>218219624Casey Affleck has a very punchable face. However, it's a good western, and I can just about overlook Affleck's annoying mush to enjoy it.
>>218223389he's supposed to be annoying in this
It's an extremely well acted movie. It's borderline boring, if you don't love the acting.
It was comfy and had some great moments put nothing really happened most of the time
>>218219181Don't you mean the Coward Jesse Joyce?
It was very good. Not really sure about the theme, though or what to make of it other than that the world is ultimately unsatisfactory.
>>218223432His character irritates the James gang. I'm talking about Affleck's (real-life) annoying mug.
>>218219181The Long Riders is a better James Gang movie. Better actors. Better music. Better cinematography.
>>218219181its my favorite movie of all time and should be yours too
>>218223913>Better cinematographythe bait was almost believable up to this point
>>218219207Andrew Dominik is the greatest pleb filter of our time
>>218224600Including Blonde?
>>218219181How come Forsen wanted to kill Jesse James? All I remember is the bare house where it happens and somehow I recall enjoying the movie but don't remember anything about it. I guess it's time for a rewatch
>>218224753yesits his worst work but I still liked it
