Why was there never an Alien film involved with the Ripley clone after Resurrection??

I'll make an AI one. My budget will be Lake Michigan.

Jean-Pierre Jeunet did a fantastic job with the cinematography. Loved the the film despite all the haters who joke about Resurrection

Because pretty much everyone hated A:R. It was the final nail in the series' coffin.

Because Resurrection got a lukewarm response at the time, and no one was crying out for a Clone Ripley continuation. I liked Resurrection a lot more than the dull and repetitive Alien 3, but I feel I'm in a small minority with that opinion. 3 has a lot of fans, and these fans insist that if the film ever had any problems, those problems were solved in the Assembly Cut. (They weren't.) Resurrection doesn't have a new cut to help change people's minds about it.

Just read the early Dark Horse comics.

Why are Alien Resurrection and Pitch Black so similar? Clone Ripley and Riddick could trade places and the movies could almost turn out the same. Is there some connection to Twohy working on Alien 3?
>>

Because Alien was already extremely stale by the time Resurrection came out, which is why that movie doesn't take itself seriously. It's also why we didn't get any more Alien films for over a decade.

you don't do Whedon twice...but it's pretty cool they did him the first time around!

No it's because fucking Whedon wrote it, it's proto-capeshit

>Jean-Pierre Jeunet did a fantastic job with the cinematography.
It was as much Jeunet as Khondji who DP'd all of Jeunet's movies in this visual style.

They were tho.
>Resurrection doesn't have a new cut to help change people's minds about it.
It does have an alternate cut but it makes virtually no difference.
Resurrection was the last film I was truly hyped about (being a Jeunet fanboy before it was cool) and I'm bitter to this day about the wasted potential for greatness.

>Whedon
Has a single man in history ever done more to discredit and ruin an entire form of art or any other creative field?

I think you should watch Alien 3
