The third Resident Evil reboot in nine years is going to be called The Resident.
>>
wow inventive
>>
>The Resident isn't evil, it's just misunderstood!
I hate millennials.

For a game series called Resident Evil, being in an actual residence doesn't happen very often. RE7 is pretty much the only game where you're in a residence.
>>
Can't be real.

Resident Evil movies only exist because of name recognition.

The first game literally takes place in a mansion.

Resident also means "present", so it's applicable to any situation where evil is present in some capacity.

But that mansion is more like a workplace. It's just another Umbrella research facility. There's some beds and cots here and there, but no one actually treats it like their home.

I think the title is a play on words. They've likely changed Bryan from a courier to a resident working at the hospital who is tasked with delivering the mystery cooler that is supposed contain an organ, but in fact contains a serum.

That's just my speculation, though.
