Finally got around to watching sharpe's waterloo last night and imo it was a pretty weak ending to the napoleonic war movies
>>218225652When did he say the word?
>>218225899Sharpe got command of the final push of the napoleonic war. Pretty impressive
>Did you ever want to travel to America, Ragman?>The continent'll do me enough.>I didn't pick you as easily homesick.>Aye, not meself, sir. But I've heard tales. Tales of the goings-on in them parts, sir. You ever heard of Buck-breaking, sir?

I read every Sharpe book but never saw the show outside of memes on /tv/Hagman doesn't really have a lot of dialogue in the books, maybe a line or two every novel he's in, but he is regarded as the best marksman in the company
>>218227495Pretty much his tole on the show. Just sings and shoots shit
>>218227495The guy who played Hagman (John Tams) was a fairly prominent member of the British folk scene and was in a band with some of the people from Fairport Convention. In addition to acting on the show, he also arranged most of the music.Pretty much every episode has a cool moment where he would sing a ditty in character while they're marching or camping somewhere, or that would be in the background while Sharpe was doing something. His diegetic music made up a pretty big part of the show's atmosphere.
